Raju Malhotra (Emraan Hashmi), the casanova and Rajan Malhotra (Tusshar Kapoor), the bookworm get admission in the same college. Raju is famous for the brawls that he gets into, whereas Rajan is this honest and uncomplicated guy who cannot see the world outside his books. He has been reprimanded by his own parents as well for his sombre nature and inability to interact well. Raju has fallen for Rashmi (Isha Sharvani), his intelligent college mate whereas the sexy Dinky (Tanushree Dutta) has the hots for Rajan.
Mr. Devanchand Awasthi (Paresh Rawal) joins their college as the new principal whose aim is to spread discipline to this generation. As a strategy to his aim, he segregates the divisions on the basis of marks (A for ones who score 70% or more; B for those who score from 50% to 70%; and C for those who score under 50%).
Raju clearly belongs to the ‘C’ category and Rashmi to ‘A’, but since he wants to impress her and be near to her, he decides to switch his ID card with Rajan, who gets shifted to ‘C’ section. Dinky is more than happy at this switch. Awasthi is aware of this switch in classes so to test their skills; he announces that in the upcoming inter-collegiate festival Raju will participate in dance and Rajan will participate in the quiz contest. How will they manage because their skills are not proficient for the respective contests? Find out if they will find their space under the sun!
